Eric Beauron
France /2023 / 0:22:00

Joséphine, 23, lives on an isolated farm with her father and grandmother. At the milking parlour, the milk turns black again pushing Joséphine to venture into the woods where her father has always forbidden her to go. Just like her mother before her, she is irresistibly drawn there....

Immaterial Terrain
Emily Richardson
United Kingdom / 2023 / 0:07:33

Camera in hand, over the duration of a year Richardson repeatedly walked the Suffolk coastline from Sizewell nuclear power station to the mythic drowned city of Dunwich. These walks – pilgrimages and acts of protest – structure a film that documents a singular and fragile landscape at an uncertain moment: plans to expand the nuclear power station at Sizewell will have a lasting impact on the environment. ac

Solar Book
Azar Saiya
Finland / 2024 / 0:09:25

What gets lost and what remains, when a thing becomes a museum object? Many details have gone missing, but the artifacts of Satakunta Museum bear a strong presence of the waters running next to it: things that the river and the sea have carried, things that were born, that live and once lived, because of them and beside them. Solar Book looks at these museum collection items and archival footages, whose main job now is to record the past and survive time.

Wolfgang Lehmann
Sweden / 2023 / 0:22:04

RE:WILDING is a joint production of Berlin based composer Ying Wang and Stockholm based filmmaker Wolfgang Lehmann. The music is performed by ensemble reflektor, conducted by Bar Avni. RE:WILDING is a landscape film. A visual composition. The images build on documentary footage that was then overlaid and alienated in a manual process (without AI or advanced computer programs). By copying, overlaying and transforming. Landscapes are transformed into symmetries that correspond to the symmetrical forms that appear everywhere in nature. Music and film emerged in parallel. The colors of the pictures correspond to the sounds of the music. RE:WILDING is an abstract animistic landscape painting in which nature is animated and in transformation. But it is also a suggestive work, a commitment to wildness and a connection to nature in a world that is becoming increasingly alienated, in which humans have increasingly lost their connection with nature around them. Rewilding our minds — Inside each of us is a wild woman, a wild man, or a wild child. That “inner creature” represents a mindset that is characterized by curiosity instead of fear, awareness instead of distraction, and passion instead of apathy. This is your natural birthright, unlearned through social conditioning.

Point Vigule
Claire Doyon
France / 2023 / 0:11:00

Point Virgule is based on images shot in super 8, and a text from Silvia Federici’s book, Beyond the periphery of the skin. The film questions the way in which capitalism transforms our bodies into a work machine.
